There used to be a guy in Red Lodge that raised wolf pups as domestics, however the preferred mix was part [largebone] german shephard or such mixed with timber wolf. We had one when I was a kid, not really that different from any ranch dog other than size, really really big teeth, spooky eyes, double layer coat, really big furry feet, tendency to kill coyotes on sight, etc. Never did run deer, but then we trained it as you'd train any normal dog. Neighbor kids could even ride the thing around while doing horrid things to hair and ears. It would pull kids on skis, but absolutely refused to ever consider the concept of "fetch". Also tended to make friends, rather than dinner, of cats for some reason.

We didn't really hunt with them, just that once you get a hill or creek away from the farmhouse, carrying a weapon at all times was pretty much expected. Usually you could get rid of a black with a siren whistle, shoot in the air, or have a big dog get between you and the bear. Range bulls were more dangerous by far...again the dog helped as the bulls rarely cared about loud noises like a .357 in the air.

I've been working for a startup with exponential growth for the past coupla years. Have only had a chance three times to even get over to Nevada to let the ZJ play in the mud, poor thing. Hope to get up to Kalispell within the next coupla years, most likely while Going to the Sun has opened for a few weeks. All of my relatives and old mates have either kicked the bucket or moved away, so mainly I just run thru for the scenery and to check on some property so far out in the boonies it is still pretty much worthless.

doesnt mean s*it. any liberal can spend time in a classroom and think he knows everything about anything. spend time living with them.
pick better friends. ;-)
CLUE time earle......illegal immagrants ARE criminals! theyre violating the written law that you cling to when it suits you, and you dismiss it when it doesnt.

It seems that large canines are usually better with kids than the smaller ones... I suspect it is because they don't feel intimidated by them... Kind of like a big mosquito buzzing around...

Hell, even a cresote post across their head doesn't really get their attention... Big, dumb, and strong -- a dangerous combination in an animal...

"The overwhelming majority -- 95.5 percent -- of all abortions take place ator before 15 weeks' gestation, in the first or very early second trimester.About 90%-95% of these are in the first trimester. Only a little over 1/2 ofone percent of all abortions take place at or after 20 weeks' gestation.Fewer than 600 abortions per year occur in the third trimester of pregnancy, and all of these are performed due to severe fetal abnormality or risk tothe life of the pregnant woman.(1)" (1) Henshaw, S.K. and Van Vort, J., eds. Abortion Factbook. The Alan Guttmacher Institute, 1992. Also, The National Abortion Federation, quarterly statistical reports, 1994.
Of which, perhaps 450 are of the so-called "partial birth abortions"...
Until it is born, it is just a parasite... Hell, I can even make an argument that it is still a parasite for the next 18 years or so...
If they're not getting abortions at the same rate as the general population, I would suspect that the issue is because of them more likely being Catholic... The earth is a finite resource... We can only grow so much food and such to support the population... We need less people on this planet... The problem I see is that the educated people tend to have less offspring and the less educated have large numbers of kids... From a species survival standpoint, this is not good...
N
Nathan W. Collier
ill accept your numbers. 450 annual abortions, 365 days in a year. as i said, it happens "every day". :-)
using that logic, no species would survive. i realize that the line must be drawn somewhere. when a child has a heartbeat, it is ALIVE and therefor entitled to the right to live.
i agree, but limit it to this country. i dont give a damn whats going on elsewhere. secure our borders, keep the illegals out, and stop sending foreign aid all over the world until we have addressed our own troubles. our population is exploding because of the millions of illegals who flood our border.
heh......no argument there.

But after it is born, if someone is braindead, do you also believe that they should be kept alive?
Nawh, our population is exploding because natural selection has been corrupted and idiots who would have previously not survived long enough to breed are in fact being able to, thus propagating their stupidity genes...
The government doesn't help things when they give tax incentives for people to have multiple kids either... Make people have to pay *more* taxes if they have kids than if they didn't... Of course, getting rid of the "income" tax and replacing it with a "consumption" tax would in effect do this in addition to being more fair in that it would also get the underground economy that skirts the current tax system...
Oh well, in the end, nature will always win... We'll exceed our resources at some point and have a major die-back...

So, you're saying that he was bald...

Sandman,
If you actually read the Libertarian party platform, one of the basic tenets is that laws should be enforced, as written and equally. Another is that unconstitutional laws should be removed. A couple of years ago, a party member decided to practice some civil disobedience against Denver's gun law, which he said was unconstitutional. He strapped on a sidearm in a public place, allowed himself to be arrested, and went to court to fight it.
Contrast honorable civil disobedience like this, with dishonest sneaky taking the law into your own hands, which your Montana/Idaho wolf poachers practice, and which you claim you do not. (But you wouldn't tell anyone if you did.)
Libertarians believe, that government is a necessary evil. We have to have laws, because we just can't agree on everything. But laws should follow the constitution, and people who do not agree with any particular law, do not get a free ticket to disobey. That weakens the system, and we have to have a system to survive.
You obviously differentiate betwee "just" laws, which you consent to obey, and "unjust" laws, which you do not feel bound by. True Libertarians abide by the laws, except when they practice honorable civil disobedience, as described above. What you advocate, is that everyone in society, has to conform to whatever Nathan happens to believe in at the moment. The problem with this, is that people will find it hard to keep track, and that it is unfair.

your speech is pointless earle. ive stated that i do not break written law, i simply support the efforts of some who do. there is NOTHING wrong with having my own opinion earle......its my ACTIONS that matter.
agreed. i never suggested that laws should not be followed.
"obviously"? do show me earle, where i have broken ANY law. i follow the law, even if i dont always like it.
um, what you described earle, was someone BREAKING the law. how is it any different?
show me where i have suggested this. you cant. stop making s*it up earle.
