I'm getting a Rough Country 4.5" lift installed (finally), and was wondering something: Am I going to need extensions for the REAR swaybar? The kit doesn't come with any. Rough Country says most people just remove the read swaybar, and with 4.5 inches of lift, the stock one would be too small if you DID try to attach it somehow.
Any thoughts on this?

As for if you need it, that depends on how often you offroad vs. onroad. I took the one off the back of my ZJ for a while and didn't much care for how it felt in crosswinds. Had the front off while I drove over to get the mount welded up.
Just for grins take both off. :) Great articulation but no way I'd take that on the road. If your putting in a quick disconnect up front, leave the rear antisway on or the whole vehicle tends to flop over on turns.
Apparently they only offer REAR disconnects for the JK. Daystar Products might have extensions for the rear (the chart doesn't specify "front only"). I might call them to verify.
Followup: Since I don't have a "Long Arm" kit in the front, will I be hampered if I DON'T get disconnects??

I have a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift installed in my '96 XJ. I removed the rear swaybar and didn't notice any significant difference on-road, but off-road there was an obvious improvement. But you definitely need the front sway bar for on-road driving, and you definitely need to disconnect it for off-road driving. I would only keep the rear sway bar if I drove on-road only and for towing heavy loads.
The '06 TJ I bought new, didn't have a rear swaybar installed from the factory.
