They use the 'red' as an ititial indication. The real test is for an enzyme I believe.

I do kind of like the idea that those charged with the task of trying to keep my taxes down by hammering those who evade them should be a little awkward - but I know what you mean. A mate of mine had a crew of Customs Officers turn up outside his house in Glasgow a few weeks ago with a trailer ready to take his 101 away. The only saving grace appeared to be that it was still a petrol engine...

No worries, thanks for the response

Sounds interesting, will e-mail you...

I always find it staggering the how the culprets can make sense of endorsing something by vadalising it! Bet you're gutted, I know I would be.

Figured they wouldn't be cheap! I know what you mean, its taken ages to talk my girlfriend round to the merits of a 101, she went mad when I told her that I wanted a set of wheels like yours once I've bought one :o)

Graham

Many thanks for your kind wishes, they are much appreciated, you can never have enough luck where vehicles such as this are concerned :o)

Graham

I agree, of the many sites I have visited recently, it is one of the best.

On or around Tue, 9 Dec 2003 20:59:15 +0000 (UTC), "Graham G" enlightened us thusly:

I've an idea you can fit 20" Unimog wheels by way of an alternative big-wheel option.

This is correct. A few have done this however you either need spacers or to alter the wheel offset a bit - which isn't as hard as it sounds.

Martyn

I have 3 such wheels and 5 10.00R20 tyres. Michelin and like new. Offers?

David

....goes to build a 101 Reliant Rialto

The overall total oddness of usenet never fails to amaze me...

I muted the idea to Charlotte last night about making a Land Rover Trike... Front end Harleyish, rear end S3 - but based around my spare

3.5L V8

Martyn

The thought had occurred to me, but wasn't sure if it would work.

Graham

Well that explains that then. Thanks Martyn, is there nothing you don't know about 101s ;o)

Anyone any first hand experience of this? How well does it work etc? More to the point what does it look like??

Cheers

Graham

3 huh? I can see a flaw in your plan :o) If you found a fourth, I'm thinking it might be easier to sell them. Might think about it all the same, more research needed first though I feel.

Kind Regards

Graham

LOL... was thinking the same

Graham

So much still to learn - which is kind of why I like them :-)

That woudl be 3x3 wouldn't it?, no need for a front diff either but I think you need the central one.
