According to the Landrover Owner Comic £238 and they are giving one away Bearmach are a distributor so maybe one coming to a Landy Store near you? Makes the P38 diesel look a propect to me. ( don't bother telling me they are slow I drive a DAF LF with much the same power output and a huge box to slow me down )

Ahh but the Cummins 6 produces about 3 times the torque of the P38 DT, so performance is about equal!

Depends on the Cummins 6 - the one I drive occasionally puts out well over 2000 lbft.

More likely be a 4 pot in an LF, s***ty rattly horrible sounding little engine, but still pulls pretty well(and would probably leave the RR DT standing!)

not in this lifetime it wouldn't the only saving grace is the cruise control meaning I don't get cramp nailing the throttle to the boards euro crap engine spec. Even empty it dies on its arse at the first sign of a hill I've had allsorts of 7 tonners and this is by far the most underpowered my old Merc would eat it for brekkies even the old Leyland Roadrunners had more guts. nope "Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn" the massive 24ft x 8ft x 9ft curtainside box has a bit to with it IMO. In a high wind its like the Onedin Line. Derek

Is this the 4 pot 130 motor then??

I was refering to the older B series, or even the 24valve later units at 150 or 170+ hp.

The 4 pot ISB is a 160-170 usually, the 6 pot ISB is available between 180 and 280 hp

The old BTA 6 was 150,180 or 230hp, the roadrunners usually had a 150 in them.
