hi hope someone can help just a query does it matter the distance between the plenum chamber to the air flow meter as long as the pipe is leakproof

Effectively not, although a longer pipe reduces the efficiency of the intake system.

It does reduce the efficiency at high revs but will lower the revs at which peak torque occurs.

How? We're talking distance between AFM and throttle butterfly, not distance between butterfly and cylinder.
