aluminium corrosion

Hi

Just discovered some bubbles that looks like corrosion / rust at the bottom of left skywindow - just below the rubber seal.

Has anyone else experienced this - is this a common place to corrode?

Should I wait or fix now before it gets worse?

Thanks

Welcome to LR and it's rust free reputation. Aluminium is in fact an exteremly reactive metal ( more so than steel/iron and only gains its reputation from the Oxide layer on its surface that prevents further reaction once formed.) Pierce this layer and hey presto lacework. Usually at a steel/ aluminium interface ( arcraft have to have rubber insulators at the interface so I've heard )

If you find a solution please let me know.

Duct tape, well it won't prevent it but it will cover the holes :)
