Off to the Bakewell Show this weekend, not a Landrover show, but never mind.
Anyone got any pointers for good green lanes in the area? Anyone fancy meeting up to do a few lanes? Saturday would be best as 'the show' stuff with family will be mostly on Sunday ... ;)

Wow! Some great Lanes ... very scratchy being mid-summer and hedges of hawthorn, but that's never stopped me before ... ;)
Found four crackers within a mile of Bakewell centre, all steep, muddy, stony in places and technically not too hard that you'd get stuck unless you did something ver' stoopid indeed. Didn't see any of them marked as byways, and most were gated, but simply marked as unclassified on the maps ... so took a bit of poring over maps etc. Homework for tonight is ... ;)
Can't wait to go there again when I might have more time as we only had a couple of hours spare Saturday and one hour Sunday morning. Glad they were close ... )
I really ought to do some homework on Memory map, with ref. to track making, waypoints and how to use them sensibly etc.
