Needs a shit hot battery apparently, thought it looked a bit small.

Not according to Yuasa, and they should know..... OEM for Land Rover (at least at the time).
Richard
Can you send me one, or is that not allowed?
Yep - it's on the site - well, it may not be for an hour or two, the first "Linux generated" version is uploading at the moment........... waits with bated breathy......... still there at the moment!
Richard
If you are working in sandbach its not much further to visit richard in person.
Definate No No I'm affraid - unless you wanted an Optima - they don't leak!
Richard
BeamEnds uttered summat worrerz funny about:
Bugger all use on an landie then! ;-)

Why do people insist on putting crappy batteries in their (often expensive) vehicles? In the past couple of years I've had to replace 4 for that exact reason. I could understand it in a £200 banger, but not in something fairly expensive - like your D2 for example Nige.
Matt
Dummies.
Really? How far?
How much then Richard?
half an hour
Tom Woods uttered summat worrerz funny about:
Nah A500 A50 is a cunning plan at the moment. As quick as the M6... ish
Lee
£92 for a LR one ffs.
Well, the thick plottens...... the "proper" battery is a 640X, with the terminals in the middle. 644's will fit, but you can't get the carrier back on. The 086 is, it seems, for Defenders. Td5 Discovery's are causing headaches all round in the battery world it seems.
So, the proper one is £76.37 inc VAT, and will fit!
Richard
I had to get one from LR for £76 + VAT. At least it's got 3 year warranty & will fit. Thieving fuckpigs.

most batteries are pricey now. Halfrauds et al want an arm and a leg for 'em, too.
