Someone was recently asking about the cause of the failure of the locking mechanism in the Defender rear door catch.
Well, I just dismantled my faulty one to find two pieces of a very small spring loose in the casing. I can see now, how the mechanism works and what the spring does and where it goes. So the question now is - has anyone else done a repair of this lock by replacing the small spring, and if so, where did they source a replacement.
If no one knows of a source, perhaps I could get some made up if there is enough interest/need.
