Disco 300di speed pulse

I had a cruise control fitted to my 98 tdi Disco. I believe they took the speed pulse off the side of the auto box. The cruise would not work properly kept dropping out because of a "spiky signal". This was rectified by fitting magnets to the prop shaft. I don't know if the Sat Nav System need a "smooth signal" or if can cope with the course signal from the speedo signal generator. May be someone else can answer that question

Yes the Speedo is a Digital Speedo ~(No Cable) and if you take out the speedo binavle and look on the back there are two clearly marked speedo pulse connections "SP In" & "SP Out" (one in & one out) I used the Out when I fitted My Alpine Nav System and all was fine..

I also had problems with my Cruise and when I looked @ the signal with an oscilloscope there was a lot of "Jitter" and I also had to fit magnets to the prop to get it to work in a stable manor.
