Forgot to mention - when I was at Mark Smith's in Bicester earlier, I noticed they had very nice looking Disco plastic wheel arch trims (eyebrows) for £110 a set, all inclusive I think. To fit any Discovery I.

I've had a price from Land Rover for OEM wheel arch spats for £140 plus vat. I think they look good - but can't decide to go for just the spats or the rub strip as well as the spats ( they're different spats if you want the rub strip) Decisions decisions.
Side rub strips make the vehicle appear longer and also protect the doors from dings at the supermarket parking lot.
I would go for the full treatment (side rub strips and spats)
