EFi into 101

Aug 16, 2007 23 Replies

I'm hoping to be at that stage shortly after the show season finishes (i.e. a couple of weekends after Peterborough!!)

Going to use the opportunity to also tidy up cables etc in the engine bay, including replacing the main battery leads from the split charge pack! Some jobs are just difficult or near impossible in the 101 with the engine in!!!

I'm hoping to be there tommorrow :D - assuming my engine lift has enough lift. Just got a couple of bell housing bolts left and the engine mounts holding it in.

Yeah very sensible!, i struggled and did most of those bits before (the scars on my hands and wrists have just about healed!). I rewired my split charge stuf so that it is where the compressor pressure reg thingy was on the LHS of the spare tyre cupboard. Im going to replace the dodgy heater piping and try and rewire my heater fan while the engine is out.

Gearbox mounts are fairly easy - one sits on the mounts, the other hangs from them - if that makes sense. Props can be altered. I had my GKN props altered - front one longer, rear one shorter, all rebalanced etc for 100 quid all in.
