How to improve MPG on old V8

It moves the needle up and down.

If you take the top of the carb and temporarily remove the needle/diaphram assembly you can try turning it with it off the car and watch the needle to see which way it moves when you turn it.

On my car its the same as your expect. Right-in, left out.. but if you turn the one on my car too far in it falls off ;)

You might be able to do it with the car running. Mine sometimes stalled or wouldnt run with the damper cap removed.

I converted my car to gas to avoid having to adjust the carb any more ;)
