GLENDALE (AP) =97 An 83-year-old motorist is alive after his SUV crashed through the wall of his Glendale condo=92s parking structure, then plunged one story to the pavement, landing on its roof.
Police and condo security say the man=92s 2003 Land Rover rammed through the retaining wall of a second-story garage at about 9 a.m. Friday. The accident occurred on the 300 block of Pioneer Drive, Glendale police spokesman Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
The man had bumps, bruises and cuts to his face and was hospitalized in stable condition, Lorenz said.
His name wasn=92t immediately released.

Lorenz says the man was physically fit and may have been pulling into his parking spot after returning from a karate class.
