A paintbrush would sort that out, ISTR the idea is not to look military, as it's asking to be shot at in some parts of the world, e.g. Manchester.

Don´t think it´ll help selling it. A single colour would make a big difference to perceptions. You can´t see the lines of the vehicle, and its really nicely proportioned. The 6WD conversion is very clever too.

At this instant however you are trying to sell it. Cleverly disguised as it is, you can´t see the vehicle. I´d put this picture up on the main site too if I were you.

Yes, I've just been going through the pages for it, it's quite nice, I need an 8x8 now though so I'll give it a miss ;-)

I never thought of storing oil in jerry cans though, strange how obtuse people can be sometimes. Now I know what to do with the 8 jerry cans that have been laying about the place for the last X years, fill them with EP90 to refresh the supply that's contaminating the pinz handbrake. My landy, strangely enough, is one of those odd mutant landies that doesn't leak any oil from anywhere, even the bits that contain oil.

I'm aware that it's up for sale, but to my mind it's got too many mechanical compromises. I quite agree that to do it the way I'd do it would be more work and probably more expense. not only that but I could probably by a 6x6 Pinzi for the same money, and since I don't actually want a camper, that camper aspect, excellent as it undoubtedly is, is not a plus point.

Do you think if the armies of the world started painting there vehicles in bright colours people would stop shooting at them?

Can't say I would not mind something like that, but in reality it would be rather impractical, couldn't take down to Tesco's. Yeah it would be more comfortable by far than my 109 for camping in, but I do have the advantage of being less conspicous.

Actually I take great pleasure in parking it outside Somerfields. Conspicuous is often useful; it gets enough attention that security is less of an issue. For example, you don't have to lock it when you go to pay for your petrol, because dozens of pairs of eyes are looking at it.

I really like the sand color, i think it looks great like that, but I do think its very clever how you painted it to not look military. Tough compromise.

You could always paint it fire engine red, or give it a psychedelic paint job
