PUBLIC PLAYDAY IN DERBYSHIRE

Rather than expecting people to instantly go to the website, it may be a good idea to put the DATES in the text of the posting :-)

If you're "expecting a large turnout" then why are you publicising it at all ??? Sounds to me like there'll be far too many people there anyway :-)

Why not be honest ? Try this:

"We are struggling to get enough entries for this event so are now getting desperate and using every tactic we can think of in the vain hope that the number of entries will cover the cost of hiring the venue".

It works for us when we are short of entries :-)

not at all Dave,

you know yourself that the money you make from the public playdays goes a long way to funding the clubs activities for the forthcoming year,

so if we get 300 people turn up at the play day then we can hire sites like eckington- tong - trentham gardens etc, etc, etc,

and this is just another medium to use.

as for being short of entries, this is not something we have realy ever sufferd from, weve always been in the profit margin
