I have a suffix d box, a couple of months ago it started to stick in 5th and reverse and then suddenly felt like the gearstick had broken off...flopped around without resistance and couldnt find any gears...anyway with my dad in hospital I didnt have time to investigate and sent it (p38 dt ) into a gear box specialist who put in a recon box alls fine and then its done it again .....anyone got any ideas about what the problem is ?
thanks (yes it is the one I offered 4sale last month but I couldnt part with her and so got a ford ranger to keep her company ! shame landrover didnt make it !)
