Check wiring. Sometimes SRS light just stays on after battery disconnect and has to be reset.

Does it have lights in radio (if it's original)? or anywhere in dash? Are the bulbs ok? I had all (11) dead bulbs in switches and just one working in heater controls and one in dash.

Feed the appropriate fuse with 12v from elsewhere and see if anything fires up. Then the fault can be in headlight switch/cabling/realy.

Vacuum leak? Check compression as well.

Thanks MR. Nice definitely I guess that is a task for a warmer season but yes, I'm going to look forward to check the sensors in the hood and do an overall cleanup of my Disco (Check cables and do the former replacements. By the way, the headlights had issues going off and a very dim light. I checked the connectors to the ligts and guess what, they were crystalized and the connectors crumbled in my hands once I removed them, cautiously I replaced the connector and changed the lights to a bright halogen which improved night driving in a high percentage).

I have the RAVE CD's and there they warn about the cautious handling to the SRS which has to be done by a dealer? I don't know or am unsure (my wallet too... jejejeje)

Intereting but the battery has not been disconnected since long ago and the light went on permanently around a month ago.

The radio is the original one, both the lights in the radio are on, the clock is on and I noticed the following, when I turn off the lights, the shift lever lights (PRND123) are on but once I turn on the lights, the shift lights also go off.

Good point, I may look for this replacement with British Atrntic. Is there any way to bypass this switch and test direct lightning?

Sound too tech, how is the basic procedure?

Juan,

Reading out failure codes by dealer is ok even on low budget. All faults you mentioned, besides dead dashlihgts, can be diagnosed in one shot. What happens after that, may hit your wallet, but is largely optional.
