Red and white springs

Jan 21, 2005 2 Replies

Just checked the h/d spring set I bought from John Craddock and found 2 red and white coded springs and 2 green coded springs, closer inspection on JC's website does indicate this to be a h/d set for R/R.

I'm fitting these to a 90 for extra lift now I've fitted a heavier diesel engine as apposed to the V8 I had in previous.

I was advised to put red and whites on, should they be these all round? Should I have just bought 4 red and whites?

I'm a bit confused (not hard, bloody red wine) but if anyone can shed any light on the matter it would be appreciated before I remove another layer of skin from knuckles.

Regards, Roy.

green/green are RR diesel front, and there's another set which are even more HD - they might be the red/whites.

when I was looking for springs for the disco, the HD90 ones were about the tallest/strongest I could find in the standard list, but still were about an inch shorter than I wanted. I forget what colour they were.

Thanks Austin, but after considerable muscle excercise I have, with the help of the JC staff fitted red n white all round. Seems to be a bit cockeyed up front at mo but I'll keep you posted but V busy this week @ NEC dooin exhibition. Cheers Roy.
