sankey/brookhouse question

Has anybody seen a conversion changing the hitch from nato to ball or pin keeping the overrun system working (my old trailer is getting ratty). I've seen a good deal on a Brookhouse so I'm thinking it could be the right choice. Derek

If you are up this way any time give me a shout, he's not far from Beamends.

Why not just bolt a NATO hitch on?

£120 for a quick sale the text I've just got back says. He paid £275 so he says but I note Anchor sell them at £175 now, such is life!

Still a Nato hitch.

It's the same as the one at the bottom of the page.

I can show you pictures of an adaptor for the disco which fits the normal sliding hitch thingy and puts a nato at the correct height. In fact, I don't need it now but I'm not selling the hitch.

That is, of course, if you have the normal sliding hitch thingy.

I'd be interested to see how you did it ( take out the no spam baby to reply) but I've got the normal flat plate with 4 pair of bolt 'oles similar to

but with massive side plates, trust me after removing the bugger to replace the boot floor it is not coming off again in a hurry. Lee sold me a corker when I had the RRC which I could wind up and down to suit . I did consider mounting a caravan style hitch to the trailer but at the height of the frame its really too much without serious fabrication to create a bridge plus I need to get her home first ( I should never write this stuff down cos I just had an *Idea*) easiest just to look out for a Sankey no rush the old small trailer is not full of scrap yet. The "normal" height-adjustable one is 2 vertical plates with holes about 2" apart and a thing which has the ball mounted to it and that secures to the bit which is attached to the vehicle with one (or later, and better, 2) 3/4" pin.

The fits instead of the moveable part of that, with 2 pins, and extends up behind the bumper.
