I fitted a set to my Nova a while back, after it got forced. The universal fitting tends to be a large back plate with lots of holes in it, you engage the lock rod with the appropriate hole to get the right throw.

You could fit them to a series, by having a pair of cams made up to fit the lock spindle. However, there is a problem with the length of the lock. As you know, series lock barrels are about 2" long, so the keyhole is flush with the outside of the door, whereas the above locks are quite short, the keyhole would be rather difficult to engage a key with.

I suppose it would be possible to arrange something by fitting the lock into the outer panel, with a linkage going down to the locking cam, which you would simply mount onto a spindle or something, but remembering the locks I had, I can't see any easy way of doing it.

Seems to complex to be worth the bother, it would be easier to fit a mortice deadlock and solid oak doors :)

Mm. I have a Sidleen ignition lock on my SII, (same type of lock as the solex) but the doors are normal. There's nothing worth nicking in it anyway, so I don't usually bother locking it.
