That's one of the Lotus clubs I'm sort of a member of (it's web based so I don't read it much, and missed the whole restoration thing). I was there at the presentation, wondering what was going on, and they did do a fantastic job on the car. The chap himself almost ruined it all by blubbing all over the car but thankfully the weatherproofing was up to the job ;-) It was a very well done thing, he plainly didn't suspect even in the slightest.
All they have to do now is buy enough butter to get him into the car, he's a big chap!

I'm just feeling a bit down and my RRC needs new footwells, inner wings, and front panel.
Any advances on that?
Oh, and any ideas where the hell I get a complete front panel for a RRC in the first place?

I meant it when i said the other day that i will help with that axle!
Its either 3 or 4 weeks now then i have some time off :) You will however have to machine me some bits and bobs up in return to help me to get this new engine in my car!
p.s. just bought a 3.9 v8 engine ;) Not going with the auto box right now cos im too skint and the engine has only happened as i appropriated a bonus from work!

Reassembly finally began tonight. It must be four months since the welding was done.
