I thought Niamh was in North Wales. you're not thinking of changing the venue again are you? ;-)
Blasted BBC Weather site hase changed almost hourly on their original forecast of bright sunshing to dismal, s***ty, damp typically Welsh October... :-(
On or around Thu, 13 Oct 2005 13:11:15 +0100, Mother enlightened us thusly:
ah, they always do that. If you bother to listen to the fork-arsed, you'll find around about wednesday they say that the weather's going to clear up before the weekend, by friday morning it's going to be reasonably dry with sunny intervals and scattered showers, then by friday night there's a band of rain moving in but it won't get here 'til sunday...
not bad weather here today, bright, sunny intervals and no wet to speak of.
Bin printenemout all week...
the met office one is much more consitent, and seems to be more often correct.
I've noticed that the bbc publish a different forecast on their website to the one they give out on the Tv and the radio!
They're all the bloody same regardless of where in the world you are - IOW that they've all got some random forecast text generator and just post whatever it spits out. Below is the forecast for the weekend for our geographically equivalent bit to Wales and the South. Very vague and as such likely to be as accurate for you as it is for us.
Saturday Showers spreading up the west coast. A southwesterly change spreading north along east coast with a few coastal showers. Sunday Mostly fine with early frost in sheltered areas.
During stardate Thu, 13 Oct 2005 21:15:43 +0100, Tom Woods uttered the imortal words:
Couldn't really wish for a better forcast than that in October :0)
If it's cloudy and sunny we should have a relatively warm night Fri and Sat.
Sunday morning forcast Sunny so ideal for dring out tents and Awnings.
Winner!
watch is Pee down ;0)

Well, T-10 and we're off...
Decided on 't motorway as I'm not really 100% at present and we figured most hospitals are more accessible via the motorway network than s***ty little bendy roads in the middle of nowhere ;-)
CU L8R Dewds...
Dry weatherwise yesterday, the ground os still pretty sodden though.
Pics later, vid's there now...

's a good vid. Mind, you didn't get any of me beaching the 109 on that hump. Lee did though...
Thanks Martyn it shows beautifully how much fun we all had. The boys will be chuffed to little apples to see it later on.
Lizzy - sitting smiling as the vid plays in the background.
Pics are up - got a few of you bellied out ;-)
The monsters really made the weekend, your and Lees.
It was a far better event than we'd expected (only helped by the weather), especially as it wasn't just another Land Rover event.
A little bit of fun mud-plugging, climbing a mountain, paddling in the sea. Good grub, lots of drinkies, unbeatable company...
T'was more like a large family gathering - without the fight. (Well, thinking of my own family there, obviously). :-)
Simply cannot fault the planning - well done Taylor Family in every respect. I still think that fire needed more wood on it...
On Tue, 18 Oct 2005 09:59:33 +0100, Mother scribbled the following nonsense:
gits, I wish *my* flight home had been 24 hours earlier, that way I could have madeit , and not had to put up with SWMBO being airsick next to me for 3.5 hours!!!

Ah well, we can do it all again next year. Or some other time. Could make a Welsh weekend in the Autumn a regular event, I suppose.
That sounds dangerously like a plan! SW Wales again or does anybody know of a suitable pay&play elsewhere in Wales?
Lizzy
