I assume the US. Being originally from Europe the prices for Defenders in the US are of the scale.

Well, looking at the "other" group this message is cross=posted to, I'd have thought the OP wanted to import from Europe into the UK.
Readers of alt.fan.landrover may not have noticed that the question was also cross-posted to uk.rec.cars.imports which is a newsgroup formed to discuss the importation of automobiles into the UK.

In which case, given the current discounts available at UK dealers, there's not much in the difference. Also it can take at least 6 months for European imports to arrive and the warranty is invariably unhonoured by UK dealers!
