We have a a 1994 BMW 318i, occasionally it doesnt start, engine turns over fine, but it doesnt appear to fire, as if the immobiliser is disabling it some way, then the indicators and what i believe to be the immobiliser/alarm LED begin to flash if a door is opened
And when it does start, after driving for about 10 mins the rev needle, goes all over pointing to 6 or 7000rpm, but the engine rpm stays the same, this happens without accelerating, then the engine speed slows down and just stalls and wont start again
We have had the battery changed for a new one, this didnt make any difference to the problem
Anyone who may have come across a similar problem, help would be greatly appreciated!
