When we start our 95 1.4 astra there is a running water sound coming from behind the dashboard. There is no water leak in the car, any ideas what could be causing this?

Air bubbling thru the heater matrix -my Carlton used to do this . Stuart
Would this cause air bubbles cause any problems to the performance of the car? is there any way to fix this?
