If bought for environmental reasons alone, its obvious this is a bad idea. Do I really have to explain? If its cheaper at the pumps, then I can understand why you want it, along with every one else who drives a diesel. If its that difficult to find, then you are going to have a long queue outside waiting to fill up with the cheaper diesel.

It depends on where the biodiesel comes from. Our local supplier makes his from Walkers Crisps waste oil. So yes there is a cost to the environment but not half as bad as it would have been had the oil been produced solely for fuel.
And not half as bad a dumping the used oil into a landfill
