Bosch MAFs ( air flow meters )

Does anybody know any place to check which cars use particular models for Bosch mass-air-flow meters ?



I have a Audi 80 TDI and suspect by 'MAF' might be the reason for the power being a bit down, but I don't want to throw lots on money at buying a new one unless I am absolutely sure that it is defective. If I can establish whether my '0 281 002 072' is common to other cars, I could hunt a donor.



Alternatively does anyone know any diesel tuning specialists in Manchester or Leeds ?

Don't know the Audi set up but from expereience on petrol systems if its a hotwire type the only fault that tends to develop is that the voltage they produce creeps up slightly age. On a petrol injection set up I would expect to see just under .7 volts engine not running and 1.4 to 1.7 volts at idle
