I usually buy when ECP have a 'weekend' or 'month end' deal, usually getting around 30% off - I've bought a full set of Brembo discs and pads for my 986 Boxster S for 300 quid in the past! - that's about a quarter of Porsche OEM pricing.

No seasonality that I've ever noticed but many of the online places like Eurocarparts have regular offers and if you are in no rush just wait, a few weeks or months if needed and eventually you'll get something way cheaper than their headline price. Plus it's often cheaper and less hassle than going to the local large motor factors and trying to get even a semi sensible deal.

As ever, always make sure you get proper branded stuff from someone who would be an OEM supplier rather than some oddball chinesium make you've never heard of. Without the certainty of ordering a specific manufacturer and part number you could end up with any old 'compatible' s**te that in the case of brakes allegedly meets the EU regs.

For the modern (ish) fleet I stick with Brembo or Pagid for discs and pads, TRW for calipers and Delphi for hoses. With Pagid or Bosch for wear sensors.

But for some of my older stuff it's often only available via specialist suppliers with varying quality. Stashing quality parts when they are available is essential.
