Carisma Engine Management Light

After changing the turbo on my 2003 Carisma DiD I've finally fixed it and even remembered to plug the power brake servo in! (And now even my brakes work too!)

After disconnecting the wire to the injection pump that prevents my engine starting (to turn it over & get oil through the new turbo) I ended up with the engine management light glowing at me - how can I switch it off?

Do I have to go to my local (expensive) main dealer or is there a way I can switch it off myself? Anyone tell me how to?

on some vehicles the light will stop coming on after a set number of complete engine cold to hot cycles, so just use it for a few weeks, if it all seems normal the light may go out, if it doesn't it will need to be reset. disconnecting the battery for a few hours may also clear the fault memory (works on some cars) Most smaller garages will probably have diagnostic kit that can clear the light or buy your own off ebay
