Central Locking isn't. Fiat Marea 115 ELX W Reg.

They have some suspension quirks, but no more than a lot of other cars do. You can actually ignore the clonking for a long time before it becomes critical to fix.

No you can't.

Well, if *you* can, point me in the right direction and I'll set up a car lot specialising in Stilos.

It's a development of the Brava / Bravo and got a lot of bad press, a lot of it undeserved. I wouldn't have most of 'em, but a JTD or 2.4 Abarth would be fine, IMHO.

The biggest failing of the Stilo is that it *didn't* have the looks to compensate for shortfalls elsewhere. Something that has been resolved in it's replacement.

Front sus arm bushes. Had one side done last year by having replacement (after-market) bushes fitted, had to replace both sus arms this year for MOT. Not actually that expensive.

Drop links - had one fail at 20K, but the seal hadn't been fitted properly.

Roll bars bushes. Replacement bars not mega expensive (about £80 or something), but a major PITA to DIY fit as the you have to drop the front subframe & exhaust. Hope mine lasts.

Indeed, I doubt they're _that_ cheap at 2 years! Still I didn't like the Stilo when I had a test drive, and the SW doesn't seem as practical a load carrier as the Marea WE.

Major downer on mine was the gearbox 16 months back, input bearing failure at 60K. Rebuild has left me with a very slight oil weep on the 'box, which means I check the oil level every service now, more for peace of mind than anything, as the loss must be a few mL in 12000 miles. But is it a PITA to check. Just done the 84K service.

Marea Weekend JTD110.
