Ok, I own a 98 Rover 115 Diesel, it's done a genuine 24k miles and I have every bit of history from day one. The bodywork is almost unblemished and despite the low mileage, its had six full services from new. Under the bonnet it is spotless, I've treated it like a baby. The fuel economy is brilliant 60+MPG, it's cheap tax (1525cc) and insurance.
Apart from tyres and brake pads and a battery, the only money I've spent on it is a suspension top-up. In this time, its failed to start once, when the battery knackered.
As for luxury, well not too much of that in the Rover 115...if only it had power steering!
I'm now thinking about a change to something more upmarket (definitely diesel), however, a decent new diesel car will cost about maybe between £8 to10k and I suppose I'll be lucky to get £1250 for mine. Is it worth it, or should I just stick with the Rover and run it for another 25k three or four years and maybe still get £750 for it?
Any views appreciated!
Cheers all tox
