door light always on MOT fail?

I wouldn't have thought so. MOT is about whether the car is structurally sound, and important things like tyres/brakes/suspension. Only warning light related thing is ABS light, because that indicates that the ABS system doesn't function properly.

No. Not needed, and not a fail point if fitted and not working.

Trust me. I have two main beam lights fitted between 4 current MOTs.

you're right. yet years ago I had something failed for no main beam light, tester invented failure again!!

Complete Rubbish main beam warning light never fitted to 2cv by Citroen (Did in other countries though)
