changing the bushes is not too easy because of limited access to the rear bolt of the clamp, however only ordinary tools are needed.
you need the vehicle up and supported, preferably with both front wheels off, 10mm socket and combination spanner IIRC are the only tools you need, IIRC the rear bolt hole in the clamp is slotted, so removing both front bolts let the a/r bar move forward when the rear bolts are slackened.

no, the bush is split and is just opened and put over the bar, very easy.

I have a clonking from the front suspension on my 98 Escort. Mainly over sharp bumps, or if going up a curb with one wheel first.
It feels slightly back from the front wheels, which is why I suspect the Anti Roll Bar bushes. I did have a tug at the end of the bar where it enters the Anti Roll Bar, and I think there is a bit of movement.
So my question is ? how easy is it to change the front Anti Roll Bar bushes ? bearing in mind I have limited space and tools in my garage?

I was having a look at them today, the rear bolt did look hard to get at.
Thanks for letting me know I only need some basic tools - without a manual I wasn't sure whether I'd need something else.
I guess the new bush will come in two parts (top and bottom) so I wont have to slide it in from one end?
