Don't go to a main dealer, ISTR they'll take about £2k off you for a hood and fitting.
Buying a new 'skin' isn't really worth doing either - you'll buy the outer, then find the lining is knackered, replacing that, and end up buying a headlining, too.
Best option, IMHO, is to get down a breakers, find a written off / rusted out car with a relatively new hood and get them to take it off whole - frame and everything.
I did that with the Golf - cost me £200 all-in, and only 5 hours to fit single-handed.
Re-skinning a soft-top isn't something I'd recommend doing at home.
