The paint code identification numbers for Ford are usually found on the slam panel but it depends on the model because they can also be found on the "A" post. There's loads of colours Ford's range and they don't appear to follow a particular sequence so the colour could be any of the following.

B jewel green 1997-2002 L1 no reference to L1 in met green, could be trim colour W medium charcoal green 1998

The only way to tell accurately is to take your car to a paint mixing factor and they'll check your ID plate and match the colour.

But don't use Halford's monkeys for this.

Tourmaline is a mica colour not metallic and covers 1993-2000 according to my records.

Tourmallard is metallic 1995-1999.

I did actually manage to fins a site that sells ready painted panels and according to the information on there my colour code is for Autumn Green.

Thats good but I wonder how they can tell which actual colour shade your car is painted in, as there's several different shades of autumn jade green they'd have to take a guess?
