From Mr Haynes:

Remove two screws from lower trim and unclip. Press the A-pillar upper trim away from the retaining clips, and pull the trim upwards.

From me:

Expect breakages.

Fold the handle down. Prise up the two covers concealing the screws.

Before you do any of this, where are you seeing the water? On the passenger side floor, by any chance...?

Hi Chris

nope done that bit

Drivers side

as a test I opened the sun roof and poured a small amount of water in the drain hole on the drivers side. It came out halfway along the top of the door trim and then from the side of the trin next to the dashboard and the roof lining is damp

OK.

If it's any help, Haynes says:

"There are four drain tubes. The front tubes go down the A-pillars; remove the lower trim panel and electrical junction box or ECU to gain access to the tube.

The rear drain tubes go down the C-pillars; remove the rear side trims to gain access."

Personally, I hate removing trim like this; some of the fixings *will* break, and the parts assistant will look at you as if you are mad when you try to order replacements!

Good luck!

I would imagine that if it was parked in the rain sloping towards the blocked outlet, then the water would still find its way into the car.

Generally speaking, manufacturers don't fit anything to a car unless it's essential...

All done pipe had come right off and did not seem long enough to go back on

Worked from both end and got some slack fitted well and ladder wrapped

Only broke 2 clips so trim went back in with no noticable movement afterwards

Thx for the help
