I recently bought a second hand car. It is a Daewoo Lanos SE but the V5C log book shows it as the "S" model and not "SE". The S is the basic model and the SE has a bit extra trim level plus ABS and a rev counter. When I notified my Insurers of a change of vehicle, I asked them to check what model type is recorded on their database and from the registration number they confirmed that their records show the vehicle is the "SE" and not "S". How do I go about having the V5 changed to show the correct SE model? I have the new log book back in my name but I can't see anywhere in the blue section (Changes to Current Vehicle) that allow me to alter the model / type. I wouldn't normally bother but if I come to sell the car it may well, and understandably, put people off buying it if the log book shows a different model type.
