40,000 genuine miles on clock. In excellent condition but reckon it should have a new cam belt as there is no sign of this having been done since new. Any helpful hints on this model (its the automatic with cvt) thanks

The CVT was only available with the Renault 1.4 engine, which uses a timing chain rather than a belt (cam is deep in the block)- its an OHV pushrod design... So no belt.

Probaly worth having the engine fully tuned up (igntion system, valve clearance and carb) centrifugal clutch engaement speeds and the belts tension checked/adjusted otherwise they can be horrendously thirsty (more so than usual!)

Tim..
