Is it brand new?

Does the warranty require main dealer servicing? If so they will tell you the cost

Is it worth it? Seems a daft question as it is always worth servicing a car at the recommended intervals However if the question means is it worth paying a main dealer to do it then the answer is usually not if you have a choice (see point 2 above)

do it yourself? Really depends on the other answers

Warranty? If you are asking whether you should buy a warranty on a used car that you have recently purchased then the general view is that they are worthless in practice

If you are asking does your car have a warranty only you or the seller can answer that

If you are asking would diy servicing invalidate an existing warranty then the answer is generally yes as a garage stamp is usually required in the service record but again see point 2 above

I cannot even guess at what the etc may refer to

Ask a question that makes sense then. Why not ask MB? If you think so. Could do. What about it? Etc? HTH Cheers Si

1st 3 years certainly a merc dealer - this will keeps it's value up - remember to get the book stamped and maybe keep the invoice with the book (Yes you are legally allowed now to have the car serviced elsewhere but with OE bits and bobs but you may well get hassle if you need to make a claim)after that down to you but you'll loose the 30yr mobilo (?)

Mobilo is maintained if you service it at least once once every two years at a main dealer (it runs for 2 years from last main dealer service until the car is 30 years old) - so I would get the A service (the cheapest one) done at the main dealer and others at an independant using original parts (which are not that expensive)

You had a proper answer last time. Your questions were inept.

Isn't there an IQ test for Mercedes Benz ownership any more?

Yeah.

That depends. If you're bought a (very expensive) A Class then you may well want to "protect" your investment.

No absolutely not.

It will have one. Don't screw it up.

WTF does that mean?!

Clearly, but you don't want that sort of newsgroup for the help you're implying.

Yes it's a crappy reply but if you took the time to explain what it is you want rather than making demands, you'd get a "proper response."

Another Usenet genius.

You've been using Usenet for years and contributed nothing, then?

Have you also seen lots of crashes in your mirrors but been in none, either?

Muppet.

No mate, just one tosser.

We aren't here just to answer your demands, but to discuss car maintenance If you want help, at least put some effort in to asking politely.

Fuckwit.
