MG again?

I'd just worry about it being s*it and having the worst depreciation this side of a VW Phaeton.

Presumably the will be discounts if they don't take off? Seems like a nice car though, and nice long hatchback as in my 9000 CSE.

Then maybe I should buy a 2'hand Phaeton; also nice comfy car. But not the right car for the times...

Read the road tests. Not good for a brand new model. Looks pretty awful in the flesh too.

Things like that you just get used to. Maybe after a while it becomes attractive. E.g. BMW 1 series looks pretty ugly and Mercedes has virtually destroyed the look of the new C series, making it look like a chav car.

Which test are you referring to? Also beware that some tests May have been done on pre-production models.

You can find many review on YouTube. Im' not really in the business of buying a new car at this car, but I like many things about the car. Obviously any car these days is a compromise between many roles, otherwise we would all be driving Bugatti Veyron. I like the turbo engine, obviously coming from my old saab of similar power unit. I like the longer than normal hatch which is good for practicality. The top model comes extremely well equipped. As said, the interior is perhaps disappointing for an MG, you would expect wood and leather rather than plastic, but that's the same for Ford and Vauxhall cars these days.

Quite so. But usually good value for money. The MG isn't. It's like Rover tried and failed to do - charge a premium price for a name only.

It's s*it. Chinese quality with it's mediochre blandness, certainlky not good, probably not completely s**te, but you'll always be waiting for it to go poof and lose the magic smoke. I wonder why there aren't more Chinese car factories, maybe it's 'cos they don't understand drivers and their requirements and generally build s**te cars/motorbikes.

I think many will be tempted by the long equipment list. Remember when Japanese cars were ill though of, now they are virtue of reliability. Next came the Korean cars, also in the doldrums for a while, now they priced the same as European cars. So maybe it's just a matter of time.

Well, a Korean car would cost you about the same as an MG6, but will be much better quality and have a better warranty.

But what if you were given the MG6 for free? Would you still not like to be seen dead in one?

You seem to have unrealistic thoughts ... and however you phrase anything, the MG will remain an old design, re-tooled to look smart, but still old and still s**te.

I'd have one if they were given away free, but I'd trade it for a Mondeo ... and make the price differential up. ;)
