New VECTRA headlamps alignment

Hello,

A UK car (right hand drive) being driven to France soonish. In the Vectra manual it states that the headlamp's beam changed be changed by adjusting a lever on the headlamp to correct it path when driving abroad.

The book to me is not clear in its description, could anyone advise on how to do this......?

Thanks in Advance, Shaun

Sorted - found the cover to remove (the solid plasticone and not the flexible one) and found the lever to flip.....and a wall to confirm the lights were pointing the way they should!

Would the French take the same trouble if they came to the UK? They can't even be bothered to modify the wipers for RHD on French cars (eg Peugeot, Renault). It's about time these Frogs, Dagos, Krauts (& Americans) started driving on the proper side of the road ;-) BTW, don't forget to paint your lenses amber, as the French seem to have some sort of fetish about this.

The message from "Terry D" contains these words:

Nope, which is particularly annoying on the M2 at night 'cos the trucks' headlights are all right in your eyes.

Not any more they don't. They've allowed white headlice for at least 20 years.

I can recommend a good shampoo for your white headlice ;-)

It seems so simple; why aren't they all like that? Still it's not anew idea; The first time I saw it was in a car maintenance book published around 1950
