Nissan Primera aircon leak - condenser

Hello

Car: 2000 Nissan Premire P11-144 1.8

The air con stopped working a little while ago. Went to Kwik Fit to get it recharged, just to see if that was the problem. Left car there for an hour. Returned an hour, to good news 'the system detected no leaks and its all done for you'. Drove 10 mins down the road and parked up. I could hear a faint hissing sound. Lifted bonnet to see a fine stream of gas and oil vapour from a pinhole in the condenser. Straigh back to KwikFit who refunded the money with no hassle. But I still need to get it sorted.

Can condensers be fixed? Is a new one the only option? Look to costs between 80-100 quid - how much to get them fitted? Is there a 'leak stop' type solution for very small leaks (I'm sure there'll be some 'radweld' type horror stories). Some kind of gunk that could be applied externally? The leak is very small and was still going 8 hours after the regas.

Any recommendations for specialists in the Medway/Swale area?

Cheers

Jez

Not for less than a new one

Fitting's easy, change the dryer at the same time & then get kwikfit et al to vacuum & refill it.
