Years ago I had a Rover 800. There was a facility to overide the key fob thingy by putting the key in the door and turning "2 to the right, 4 to the left etc" Does anyone know if the same thing can be done on a Primera and if so where can I find the sequence? TIA

There's a few different security systems on various year Primeras. I haven't heard of anything like you're describing though, and if it did it would be explained in the driver's handbook (there's nothing in my 97's). One thing that second hand Primera owners regularly miss is that there's a cockpit or door switch (it has a picture of a car with a cross) for disabling the ultrasonic motion sensors when parked so that you can leave a dog inside with a window ajar.
