Nissan Primera Fascia Removal help.

Jan 18, 2004 2 Replies

I want to replace my standard Nissan radio/cassette unit with a new sony Cd/Radio unit. The problem is I cannot remove the Fascia on the dashboard.I can find 2 screws below the AC switch and this loosens the bottom of the panel but I cannot get the top loose and can find no way of getting it loose. And before anyone asks ,yes I have taken the hazard lights switch and demister switch off. Can anyone help. The car is a mid 1998 TD estate. Regards Reubo

According to Haynes manual you have done the first parts now you have to pull it forward to "release the retaining clip and disconnect the ventilation control cable from the rear of the nozzle housing, then remove the housing" I hope this helps

Thank you very much Trevor the CD/radio is now in the car and working beautifully. Your advice was just what I wanted, and now I will have to take it all apart again as I have a feeling I forgot to reconnect the vent cable!!! Thanks again Reubo
