Been offered a 96 Rover 200 with no keys. Is this as simple as getting the key code from the main dealer...or is that way too simple?

No. On the MEMS cars the ECU will need changing too as they are not reprogrammable.

You should be able to get new fobs coded to the ECU, using its serial number. Still about £80 a go from a Rover dealer.

They should be able to sort it out for you AND at about half the price of the Rover Main Dealer.
