Old Honda

Hi,

I have a D reg Accord that I want to replace this August when the MOT expires. I am not sure of the best way to get rid of it though. Are the spares worth stripping out and putting on ebay ? Which bits are valuable ? Or should I MOT it and sell it complete ? I still see a few of these cars about. Simon

I'm looking for something similar for parts. Whereabouts are you based? What engine / colour/ spec is it?

I'm down on the south coast near bournemouth. 2l exi auto, light blue , it's too good to scrap I reckon, but needs some tlc. Also the Air con. doesn't work anymore which is my main gripe.. What's it worth ?

Shame, I'm near Birmingham. Too far for me TBH. With all respect it's worth bugger all really. If you can be bothered, strip it and ebay it (never appealled to me - too much hassle), failing that find a scrappy that may give you £30 - £50. Or someone who can't afford a car.

That was my thoughts - with regard to EBay - until I advertised a Sierra J reg for spares. Remove and Collect only made 235GBP

You could also use Freecycle - but make sure you get positive proof of address if donating

It's worth doing a completed listings search on eBay to see if any parts fetch good money. Even if it's too much hassle to strip the whole thing, items like foglights are usually well worth the few minutes it takes.

.. I think you're right, it's a POS isn't it.
