PLEASE PLEASE HELP !! Nissan Micra K11 won't start up !!

Hi folks,

Really hope some of you can help me out with this problem.

This morning my Nissan Micra K11 wouldn't start. I seem to have had this probolem before and the fix was to remove the Fuel Pump fuse from under the dash fire her up and then replace the fuse again and everything was sweet..

However this was about 1yr ago and now the problem is back again :( Although instead of taking her back to the garage i tried removing the fuel pump use and cranking her up but still no luck what so ever. The battery is fine and full of juice and the spark lugs and starter motor fine but i still can't get her to turn over. she just won't catch !!

I have left her for a good few hours and even charged up the battery a little just incase and have tried again since but still have no luck :(

After trying around half a dozen times or so through the day have i flooded the motor?

PLEASE PLEASE can someone help me with solution ?

So there's definitely petrol getting through, is there? Are the plugs wet? That'd be the first thing to check, apart from sparks. If the plugs *are* wet, don't test for sparks while they're out, will you?

Is it just me who cringes when people refer to their car as "her"? No offence :o)

I reckon so. Have you moved it a short distance recently?

Happened to me. I called out Green Flag. He did the fuse trick and put his foot down for a good 30 seconds.

Try accelerator full on and really crank the engine.

PS: Can't manufacturers yet design a car that you can start up, move 5 yards to park it and stop without danger of flooding the engine?

Hi Guy's thanks alot,

I cranked the engine up and kept my foot to the floor for about 30secs and of it went. Now running without any problems :)
