I think this is a clutch problem but i want some other peoples ideas first before i replace the clutch.
Over the last few weeks ive been having this problem, the problem is when i am pulling away or generally driving there does not seem to be as much acceleration as before, if i rev the car up when im driving it it goes up to 4000 revs with no real acceleration then it will drop to 3000 and accelerate after that. Someone has said the clutch is slipping, but i dont want to fork out a few hundred pounds for a clutch if that aint the problem.
Its generally getting slower when accelerating to a point where its very hard to pull away on hills.
Someone else suggested servicing it, but not too sure if that will be the fix
