I have a 2000 Saxo VTS. This has only happend when the car is hot- the car suddenly lost all power and stalled and the ECU light came on. I tried to start it but it wouldnt start(ecu light still on)- leave it ten mins and it starts(ecu light off). After this sometimes it will run ok other times it appears to be on the verge of stalling and hesitating. I have heard the Lambda sensor could cause this, any ideas?

Most likely the beginnings of a failed coil pack- common on this engine...

Does anyone know if I can buy a fault code reader for a saxo VTS. Halfords have one that claims to fit onto a green connector near the ecu/relay box but i was unable to find this so assumed itwasnt suitable.
